Operations - Our range of surgical treatment
The medical team at the ORTHOCLINIC HAMBURG performs operations on the entire musculoskeletal system: shoulder, elbow, hand, hip, knee, ankle, foot and spine. These operations take place on an out-patient basis or patients are admitted for a short-term or regular stay in hospital.
Our range of surgical treatment covers arthroscopy ("key-hole surgery") of the large joints including cartilage and meniscus replacement, implantation and exchange of joint replacements in all joints as well as stablising and widening procedures on the spinal canal including intervertebral disc replacement.
For surgery our patients are admitted to the ultra-modern Fleetinsel Klinik or the Facharztklinik Hamburg which in a representative survey by the Techniker Krankenkasse in March 2014 was voted the best clinic in Hamburg by patients who had been treated there.
Our team consists of specialised surgeons with many years of experience who participate regularly in academic congresses.
We aim to keep the strain on patients' organisms as low as possible, and whenever possible we apply minimally invasive methods of treatment.
